location great. when we arrive the room wasn't available. They ask to change our double room with private bathroom for a double room with shared bathroom for the first day. We agree, but at the second day we should live the room and our second room was not ready until afternoon. The bathroom was completely flood when we take a shower.
so, if you only care about the location, chose it, it is great, please remember your scuba fins if you want take a shower!

It's the 4th time that I'm in Tamka hostel, is the best hostel in Warsaw!
Maybe it has too much steps, but in the other things It's perfect!

The first night we didn`tget the room we had booked and we had been confirmed - two beds with bathroom. Our room was withaut bathroom. the next day we movwe to the booked room and we stay there for two nights. After all the staff trayd to charge us for tre nights in the room with bathroom.
The room we moved to was dirty. We had to ask to vacum it.
Uncomfortable beds with thin mattresses.
The staff was gloomy- without smile on their fases.

Hostel OK. One of the guys boozing there looked exactly like my mate Chris. Out of it. Told me where the all night piss shop was. However my bed fell to bits in the middle of the night, scaring the fuck out of the snobby french girls and I almost broke my neck. Not that I cared. Human life is pretty worthless these days. Come to think of it , Ive always wanted to hit someone in the face with an axe. Y'know, like SPLAT! Blood and brains everywhere.

Pros: very good location in the center of the city, on the Royal Route, 15 min walk from the Old Town, 3 min from the posh Nowy Sviat street. Private rooms are available, even for one person. Staff is very friendly, can store documents and valuable in a safe. The reception is open 24 hours. Bathrooms and showers are kept clean.
Cons: lockers in the dorm rooms are inderneath the beds and aren't reliable, a thief can reach your "locked" bags by simply lifting the matress; storring valuable with the reception is recommended. Also, the breafast is rather basic: a few cereals, bread, assorted creamcheese, jam, tea, coffee, milk; but no ham, eggs or any other meaty products. I recommend having your own soap, as there is usually none available in the bathrooms; same for shampoo, etc.
Overall: very good, will stay there again.

I spent a great time at Hostel Tamka, I also met people and enjoyed of a very nice stay there. I'll be back for sure!
