Avail of the pickup service offered by Dmitry especially if you are arriving at Shermeteyevo Airport. It can be very difficult to get to the hostel by public transport.Otherwise a very well located hostel.About 20 mins from Red Square via Metro.

Not a bad place. Its in a hotel complex which is handy as there is a restaurant etc. Decent decor, generally ok. Be warned though, apart from Dmitry, no-one speaks english which can be very frustrating. However, were very efficient when helping out for hotel invite/voucher for the visa. Worth a visit, decent value for money considering the notoriously high Moscow hotel prices.

Taking into account that Moscow hotels are expensive this hostel offers good value for money. Clean room, good lacation, helpful staff.

Staff did not speak much english and could be rude and unhelpful. on arrival nobody had heard of hostel tramp (it is a sub-section of a hotel) and paying was very difficult and inconvientent as only one man could accept payment, and his hours were nearly non-existent (10-2 not all days) so, we had to cut our sightseeing short in order to pay. also we were left in the dark as to whether or not our visas had been registered, and were not given appropriate documentation, which could had led to problems if we had been stopped by police (they have the right to stop all foreigners and demand passports and visas for inspection). breakfast was very simple, and choice was very limited, especially for vegetarians. rooms were clean and comfortable. also warm, which was lovely after a cold day's sightseeing! overall the property was good, despite the staffing problems.

Guy who takes care of non russians reservations was on vacations when i arrived at hotel.None could speak english and only woman in reception tried to communicate with me in french.Unfortunately i dont speak french.None could help and i had started to become desperate! Finally got room due to my gf Katya, thnx God she was there and played the rule of interpreter! If "tramp" is y choice is better to reserve directly to "tourist" hotel..."tramp" hostel is "based" on tourist,,,just few rooms of tourist hotel !

We have been travelling for 4 months now and Hostel Tramp is certainly the worst accomoadtion we had. It dirty. Even a used condon we found in our bedroom. The manager is rude and the price were diffrent than stated at your website.

If you use metro approach to hostel go to station Botanical garden. There use the exit at back part of metro wagoon. So to hostel is only 200 m, if you go out in front exit it will demand more walking or even using bus, if you have heawy luggage. We had great time thanks to pleasant service of Dymitrij. Thanks a lot.

It is necessary for the hostel to update phone numbers more frequently. The numbers provided did not work and we considered a different hotel, because we weren't sure if it was there. Very kind receptionists and helpful, as well as Dmitri! I appreciated the ladies in the cafe- very good food!

Basically just a few rooms in a larger hotel. Some basic facilities nearby, but a fair way from the city centre.
