The worst hostel I have ever been!! Bad location, very dirty, orrible furnishing, old building, falling to pieces! We arrived at the noticed time and nobody was there. I won't reccomend it to anybody! Michea, from Italy ~ 29th Jul 2009

One bed was unsleepable. Doors don't really lock unless you're INSIDE the room. A little run down but pretty clean. Biggest problem is that office hours are VERY limited. If you want to check in or have a problem outside of the six hour office time, you're out of luck. I waited 5 hours to check in. Come before 3pm or between 8 and 9 pm. The staff were absolutely wonderful and it was a great place to stay. They were very flexible about when I got into the office to settle my bill and accommodated my late schedule every time I needed it. I would have liked to see the front door locked a little more often and a little earlier, but maybe that's just me - the hostel is in a pretty residential area that seemed pretty safe. I was even able to find convenient (FREE) on-street parking every night very close to if not right in front o Peggy, from USA ~ 10th Jul 2009

I had a really great time in the Hostel of the Rockies. People were really nice and the room too. The wireless acess worked really well. I recommend as a really good place to stay in Denver for a really low price!!! :o) Jaira, from Brazil ~ 24th Apr 2009

If you expect a downtown multiple star place, don't book this hostel but if you're after a budget alternative in a quiet, easily accessible neighborhood this place is just fine. Slightly old and a little decrepit in some parts (windows, shower) but with fantastic and enormously helpful staff. I've traveled a lot and though this hostel is not the most modern or fancy, I loved it because it made me feel home and welcome. Everyone I met there was very friendly and happy to help and the room (double Kretschmer, from Germany ~ 10th Apr 2009

It's ok, if you're looking for a cheap place to stay. But other than that, the rooms are pretty run down and not very inviting. It might get cold in winter in the room. The neighborhood seems pretty safe with some nice cafés and bars, although two blocks further south on Colfax, it seemed to be a bit dangerous to me. Also there is a direct bus (#20) connection to the hostel from downtown. Andre, from Germany ~ 6th Apr 2009

stayed in the guest house, which is separate to the main hostel. the people at the main hostel didn't have much of a clue, but the guest house was great and the host very helpful and friendly. recommended for the price! Victoria, from Australia ~ 16th Mar 2009
