A really nice hostel with lots of character looking out at Ladybird Lake and relatively (although not walking distance) close to the SoCo and downtown. Lots of space, comfortable. The restrooms are smelly. My room was smelling like wet dog on the second day. Also there many weird people. The price was good, the staff is awesome. There is a supermarketby 10 min. walking. Excepting the cleanliness everything was ok Leonardo, from Brazil ~ 13th Nov 2011

This hostel always a lot guests, because here is very good hostel i think. Beautiful view from lounge. some time pizza party or spaghetti party about ＄3.cold filter water. but inter net was so slow when some people useing inter net.I couldn't see even Youtube.so I use internet wake up early or deep night. I mostly went to just sleep...I spent no real extra time there so I don't know what other "fun" activities the hostel had available. The location was slightly awkward - I had to take a taxi, but the ride was close enough that it only cost US$9 with tip (from downtown). There is a bus line that runs frequently that is only 1/3 mile away so I left using that (very easy). Staff was very approachable, very competent, I felt safe the whole time. Bathing / toilet facilities were spotless. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location on Town Lake is excellent. Bicycle friendly with indoor parking the hostel is on the Town Lake Bicycle Path providing fairly good access to downtown without riding on the heavily traffic streets.
