We stayed at Hostelling International for one night in January 2012. The hostel itself is in a central location and is great for exploring San Diego and the local bar/restaurant scene. We stayed in a private room with bathroom, the room was clean and comfortable. We were very disappointed with the staff who we found to be rude and unaccommodating. This hostel is very hip and cute. It's also in a perfect location downtown with beautiful views of the city. But if you have a car, parking was a little difficult. Great Place. Went with my seven year old and he loved it! Our room was very nice, bed was comfy and staff was super helpful. Could not ask for a better location. Front desk staff were great. Free tour was interesting (thanks). We stayed in private room which had a nice shower.
