  • ONE GIRL BLOCKED ME SHOUTING "DID YOU BOUGHT THEM" WHEN I TAKE MY FOODS OFF FROM REFRIDGE. I ANGRIED TO HER, SHE RUSH TO RECEPTION AND A BOY FROM RECEPTION COME TO SHOUTING "YOU THRETHEN HER, YOU SHOULD GO OUT WITH LUGGAGES" IT WAS NIGHT MARE. NEXT MORNING THEY DIN NOT APOLOGYZE ME. IT WAS DEFINETELY VIOLENCE AND IT IS APPARENTLY MAKING FALSE CLAIM. MANAGER SHOULD EDUCATE STAFFS.

  • I arrived quite late, and left very early, but this was a safe haven. I really appreciated the friendly staff and once inside, it was great. I felt very safe and the facility was very clean. The location is steps away from the Link and the busses, and the Amtrak station. The area is a bit sketchy, but once I got inside, it was great. I'll definitely be back :)

  • The hostel was very comfortable and was always a joy to come home to after a long day in Seattle. There were 3 of us staying there in a 4 bed room and we absolutely loved it! The bathrooms were always clean and open, the kitchen was a wonderful place to meet people, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Definitely will stay there again!

  • The hostel is close to the public transport system that will get you anywhere in Seattle. The staff was very helpful when it came to directions, thanks. If you are not a Hosteling International member then there are a few extra charges that we were not expecting, other that that we really enjoyed our stay!

  • The wifi is free only for 15 minutes. There is no parking lot available, so please be careful if you have a car with you. Our's was demaged when we parked it in the neighbourhood at night!!!

  • I had a great time. My only concern was that on the room doors are signs to keep doors quietly, it is hard to do as the locks are very noisy. It might help a couple of chairs at the lobby for people waiting for someone or for a tour pick-up. Otherwise it was excellent speccially the personnel attending the lobby. Thanks a lot.

  • It was a great time there and it was really clean too. The location was also pretty good, directly transfer to the airport or/and downtown. Always again!

  • When we arrived and entered our room, it was not clean with garbage bags around and dirty linens. We notified staff and they were apologetic and provided us a different room. However, the second room did not have a sink which was an inconvenience. Also, we were fearful to leave our car parked in the "free zones" because in the one spot we found, there was broken glass surrounding the area. We ended up paying extra to leave it in a parking garage downtown.

  • I was surprised by the proximity to some unsafe areas in Seattle. Every time I left the hostel, I felt like I had to hurry into a nicer part of town where there were more tourists. China town was a bit of a joke as we saw mostly ethnic restaurants and hardly any places to get authentic Chinese garments. It was nice how quickly we could get down to Pike Place Market.

  • Stayed here with two teen daughters. Place was nice and quiet, with a mixed clientele. Security was good - swipe cards to get into the building, onto your floor and into your room, plus in room lockers. Neighborhood was a little down, but never felt unsafe. Parking is an issue, but there is a lot across the street that will accept overnight. Staff was friendly and helpful, and there were lots of social activities organized by the staff, plus information on tours, etc. Not fancy, but well run.

  • great for singles or families. very clean. lots of bathroom facilities. excellent value for money. Helpful and frienly staff. Five minutes from bus station. 20 minutes walking from downtown. great breakfast. lots of common area's. Area is a little sketchy at night, although I had no problems and felt pretty safe.

  • The room was a little bit small but other than that this was a great place to stay. Clean room and bathroom. The wireless was a little bit slow.

  • This hostel felt like a freshman dorm, which is what some people are looking for, but not us. The staff was rude at the worst, apathetic at best. It was a great value, however.

  • I love hostels, but the Hostelling International Seattle experience was POOR.. If you're old and want to be lonely: this is your hostel! It's not about the location, cleanliness, very small rooms or expensive parking.. It's about the quiteness.. Going to a hostel means a place where you can have fun and where meet other people to me. In a hostel where alcohol is prohibeted there's no way to socialize cause nobody stays.. There's no way to have fun or meet people over here.. Never again..
