The only problem that we encounter was a misunderstanding with breakfast. It says on the big board in Hoseria Grau's reception that for its guests the basic version of it is 2.10 Euro. However in the cafe next door they actually charge you normal price no matter if you are the hotel guest or not. Maybe the owners of the Hosteria Grau should know about it... Other than that- everything was great!

A perfect Hostel with only 1min to the nearest Starbuck and 2min to Las Ramblas. And no, you don´t hear alla the noice from that street during the night.

Very friendly and helpful, really good value for money. Free internet access was useful. Shame the connecting bar was still being renovated as what we could see of it looked lovely. Will hopefully be returning in the summer!

Excellent hostel! If you want to stay somewhere which is clean and right next to La Ramla then Hosteria Grau is the place for you! They give you everything you need - they change your bedding every day, provide towels and give you soap and shower gel! The staff are also really helpful and they also allow you to store you luggage there after checking out! I would say its more like a 3* hotel than a hostel! Enjoyed my stay there and would definately come back! p.s. Internet access also free!!!!!

Enjoyed my stay very much. Small and cosy hostel with a private and personal atmosphere. Very professional and friendly staff. The café aside ist closed on weekends, so I found another place nearby to have breakfast.

VERY EASY TO FIND AND VERY CONVENIENT FOR PLAZA CATALUNYA, THE TOURIST BUSSES AND BUS FROM AIRPORT. PITY OUR ROOM NOT READY WHEN WE GOT THERE. ONCE WE WERE IN IT WAS FINE, BUT AT BACK OF HOTEL AND NOT A VERY NICE VIEW. TEA/COFFE MAKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD OR A VENDING MACHINE IN THE FOYER. BREAKFAST IN ADJOINING CAFE OK. STAFF VERY GOOD, ALL SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH, THE ROOM TO LEAVE OUR BAGS ON FINAL DAY VERY USEFUL. RESTAURANTS IN THE SAME STREET GOOD VALUE AND GOOD MENU OF THE DAY. SANDWICH BAR AROUND THE CORNER. WE WERE THERE WITH FRIENDS AND THE BALCONY/SOCIAL AREA VERY USEFUL FOR US TO HAVE A GLASS OF WINE. MAY BE A BIT EXPENSIVE FOR A ROOM AT THE BACK BUT WE WOULD CERTAINLY WOULD USE IT AGAIN.

Hosteria Grau is a very friendly, quiet and pretty place, only 2 min. walk from La Rambla. Good value for money with an hotel level of cleanliness and service (e.g. 24 h reception and clean towels), but a hostel price because of optional shared facilities.

Excellent accommodation in an excellent location for Barcelona. Couldnt get much closer to the ramblas without paying over the odds. Highly reccommended!!

Loved it! Perfect Location, perfect price, very clean and the staff were friendly. Only downside was that the rooms aren't soundproof so if there is an English Stag Do staying, you can hear every word they say!!!!
