The Claremont Guesthouse was awesome! Really beautiful classy elegant clean clean clean , right near South Yarra station, nice friendly staff and breakfast everyday! I loved my stay and will be back for sure! You get new towels everyday, and the rooms have heater, phone and tv. Free tea, coffee and milo all day- which is great for when you get home from a big day out. There's internet and a book exchange. Thanks to the nice ladies who made brekkie, cleaned the rooms and gave helpful info at the 24 hour front desk. Thanks for the awesome stay!!!

This place is great value - it is a guesthouse, not a hostel, so it's not the place for meeting people or partying, but if you want a clean, comfortable, really good value place to stay (in a great shopping area) you can't go wrong here.

Shower can be luke warm - depending on time of day. Heater takes a very long time to heat up the room - it emits heat equalling that of a clothes iron....and location is two train stops from city. However, the place was very clean and comfortable.

This is a really great place to stay! It was clean, great breakfast, great staff, amazing location next to Chapel street. Also, it was such a nice, upscale facility. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel.

Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Train station and tram stop just outside the hosteI, would happily stay here again when I'm back.
EXCELLENT LOCATION - just 10mins on the train or tram and you're in the heart of the CBD. The only negatives I have are that the walls are paper thin (so it can take a while to fall asleep), the bed springs squeak like hell any time you move, and the rooms are smaller tan the pictures. All round good value for money, though.

Very convenient location with train & tram close by. We were there over a weekend and it was noisy after the local bars closed (1 to 2 am). Also the mattress was uncomfortable. The reception staff were however extremely helpful with any queries we had. Cheap, good location, clean...Rory
