Nice little wooden hotel gives you a sensation of being home. Situated in a quiet zone. Nice see view. Friendly stuff. The hotel is very close to the train station and it’s very noisy. Breakfast is not so abundant and same every day.

I booked the Hotel Denzik Konak from the reviews it recieved. However, when I arrived there the room was not available because of faulty plumbing. I was directed to Hotel Albatros which was not of the same standard. I got the feeling that this happened on a regular basis!

if you want to feel yourself in friendly atmosphere and in safe hands and to know more about turkish culture your choice defenetly must be this hotel. situated just 3 minutes to Hyppodrome, Sultanahmed and AyaSofia and 10 minutes to Grand Bazar. So location is perfect. Rooms are very clean and you have everything there. Our room was sea side view with small balcony, Marmara sea can hypnotise you)) Overall we had really great time and were very happy to choose this nice hotel. I hope next time Deniz Konak will wait us)) cause we will choose only this hotel. Thanx. And come to Istanbul to best city.

Deniz Konak is a very nice little Hotel with new renovated and comfortable rooms (wooden floor, new/clean private bathrooms, aircondition, TV, hairdryer, minibar,...). It´s located in a small street, about 10 minutes walking distance to the blue mosque. The views from the terrace and the sea-side rooms are great. Breakfast is ok (typical turkish + cereals) and the personnel is very friendly and helpful. There is only one thing you should know before you book: Unfortunatelly the railway passes the hotel very close so you can hear the trains in the sea-side rooms. But with earplugs we could sleep well! If you like it more quiet ask for the street-side rooms! Altogether for us it was the best place to stay in Sultanahmed! We also checked other hotels and their rooms during our stay in this area (cause we like to come back next year), but Deniz Konak was definitly the best choice!! For the price we paid at hostelworld.com you can´t find a better place! Greetings from Germany Jeanette + Jutta
