Booking tours from the hostel was very convenient and a few dollars cheaper than the same tours in town.The hostel is a very short walk from the bus station and from all the restaurants/markets of La Fortuna.The upstairs patio has a great view of the volcano! You can have a great or terrible time here, depending on your priorities. The good things: you get a private room with nice bathroom for a dorm bed price. Location might seem bad, but actually it's excellent, off from the made road, but still very close. Discounted price trips available. The bad things: extremely noisy rooms (especially if you wanna go to sleep before 10pm and sleep longer than 7am), internet is always down, only one plug per room, bugs, etc. Still, it was well worth its price. Hotel Dorothy was great.It was about 300m from the main street which made it a little quieter at night.There is an amazing soda nearby that the staff recommended!Also they have a kitchen that is available to cook your own food. The room was clean and staff was very helpful.For 20 bucks (2 People) I would definitely recommend this place. Tours to Baldi's hot spring are available as well and worth the 23 dollars each.
