A very nice hotel for the price of a decent hostel with shared bathrooms, very good choice if you've planned to spend a few days in Munich. We stayed 2 nights, staff was very nice, rooms are large and always very very clean. Breakfast was good and the hotel is conveniently located very close (1 min walk) to the central station, which is not far from Munich main street. It is in the red lights area, but that wasn't a problem since the city is fairly quiet and apparently very safe. Definately recommended.

ok.. we were there during oktoberfest. It was a mad house and reminded us of spring break. There was security at the door and the staff was helpful. Not to clean and not so comfy, but during oktoberfest, if you are h=there to party, its a good deal

We enjoyed the Hotel Italia for the cleanliness, breakfast & the proximity to town, however the lack of available parking was difficult & the location was not nice in the evening with strip clubs so closeby.

Excellent location except it is in the red light district. Safe and very nice rooms. Very clean. Hotel staff is sorta incompetant regarding events and things to do. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Def. stay here.

This was an actual hotel and not a hostel. It was very nice inside but you could not cook, etc. It is also in the red light district which can be rather unpleasant but we didn't have an issue. Overall, a pretty good stay.

Right in the middle of the sex district, but hey, its about 2 minutes from the Central Station, so its a trade off. The staff were nice, the internet service was broken, but there was an internet cafe down the road. Great breakfast, and with the location you cant really go wrong.

the WiFi did not work in my room (66) - no signal. Could only get signal in stairwell or in lobby.
