a little out of the way. 35 mins walk to bodrum or 20 mins to gumbet if you like walking or regular buses costing 1.75 ytl. apart from that it was okay for a cheap hotel.

Hotel Kalender was awesome! Being in Gumbet is better than staying in Bodrum as it is slightly less touristy and the beach is nicer. The food at the hotel was the best I had in Turkey, 10 lira for a full course home cooked (from scratch) meal! the staff were very friendly, even escorted us to the bar one night! They also helped us book a really nice day trip to Pamukkale! I would definatly come back to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Watch out though, you might just get thrown into the pool (all in good fun)!

Vey good value. Just the place for those who need to keep away from expensıve hotels. Locatıon ıs betterthan ıt fırst seemed,as ıt gave easy access to local transport. Room was fıne. Staff were great. After the fırst home-cooked meal on the rooftop dınıng area, we wouldn´t eat anywhere else.

This hostel is not in Bodrum (it is in a back street in the middle of nowhere), it is in Gumbet and about 15 minutes on a Dolmus to Bodrum and more than 10 minutes walk to a really bad beach (bay) in Gumbet. I dont know why it has got such good reviews on this site. I was so unimpressed (other than the very helpful NZ girl temporarily workiıng there duriıng the high season only) i left straight away. If you want a clean and quiet place to stay out of the way, then this would be OK.
