The Rubicon far exceeded our expectations of what a hostel was. We have stayed in hotel's that offered less in the way of room size, facilities and cleanliness.

It was nice, and much more like a hotel then a hostel. I only have one comment. GETTING THERE SUCKED. The tram system was hard to figure out even with the directions and the taxis rob you blind.

Had our own 12 bed dorm for 2 of the 3 nights. Lovely room. good location. More of a hotel with some dorm beds though. No internet access or laundry services which is hard for travellers.

Character: It was a place to stay...period no commum area other than the drabby reception. Security: Purse was stolen on day 2. Little assistance offer by staff other than to say "sorry". Location: easy walk to Old Town Square. OrangeBar is across the street so can get noisy. Staff: Manager gets into screaming fit with females if one complains about establishment's lousy service. Fun: not much Cleanliness: OK, however, bring your own towel as you only get a postage stamp sized

This place was amazingly clean. The only problem was that the toilet wasn't working and the bathroom lights didn't switch on after a while. But I would definitely come back here.

Close to the centre. Quiet neighboorhood. Very clean. Staying in the dorm is a nice way to meet people. Breakfast is not included and a bit shite. You can buy beer and softdrinks at the reception.
