where to begin?...we booked a double room and we were given a makeshift twin out the back that had very previously been a hallway to the garden backyeard. i.e. the walls were made of cardboard and we were kept up until 5AM by the people outside (2 feet from out heads). by the time the aforementioned people had gone to bed the annoying live -in -child has awakened and is screaming until dinner time...this is neither a party hostel nor a place to get ANY rest!!!
The hostel is in a secure location with a family atmosphere and a very friendly and pretty "housewife". Her advices about where to go and which time of the day, where to eat, safe and unsafe city areas... are very helpful in such a big city as Santiago.
