Very dirty, looked like the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned in days. Staff friendly though, very helpful =) Cam, from New Zealand ~ 8th May 2011

I thought it was a good hostel for the money. Justin, from USA ~ 13th Apr 2011

The hostel was really dirty and smelly. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The place is decrepit and needs major renovation. The office hours if you need to check in are only form 8-10 am or form 5-11 pm. If you happen to arrive between 10 and 5 there is nothing you can do. The price is high if you consider what you get in return. The only upside is that it is quite close to public transport. I would never return there nor suggest it to anyone.

Location is good. It's in walking distance of most museums and close to the metro line. It's also the only choice in Houston. The place has got that sort of old house slightly musty character that I'm kind of attracted to, but some people might not find it indearing. I'm positive they didn't clean the bathroom the 4 nights I was there. Philippa, from Denmark ~ 5th May 2011
