- “ After we booked the room online and arrive to Kunming, suddenly they informed us that our booked room is not available any more but they can provide an alternative ( but with shared facilities, not en suite that we have paid for). After talking over for sometime, they reluctantly gave us the keys for the original room. So be careful with "check-in complications". Other than that it is an average place to stay. ”

- “ as far as it was not an hotel but a flat in a building ( 23th level), without any indication, it was very difficult to find the entrance and I didn't met the owner. By chance one chinese people phone to get the flat entrance door. How ever it was a nice and confortable flat a bit far from downtown. ”

“ My wife and I stayed at the double apartment for one night. The apartment is actually very nice and modern (the mattress was very hard) but it is not a hostel at all. The apartment is located on a luxury compound very far from the center and most taxi drivers don't even know how to get there even if you show them the address written in Chinese. It might be a good solution if you have many nights in Kunming or if you come with a family but not if you are traveling.

Thank you very much for your time and detailed review. Regarding to the location, I just want to say: it's only 2 kilometers far from the exactly downtown center (heart) of Kunming. And it's located on the most important city road in Kunming, Beijing Road. Actually you know there are several subway lines are under construction now in Kunming. So it's possible that some taxi drivers are trying to refuse to take guests to some places that they don't want to go with different reasons. Thanks and welcome to Kunming again.
