  • This was a really nice hostel for our stay, although we only stayed there for two nights and spent most of our time in the city. Quiet in the night and overall clean. Compared to other hostels in US maybe somewhat expensive, but SB in overall seemed not to be a good place to save money.

  • Great job by the staff (Paul) in letting me know what there was to do in the area and cool spots to check out, especially food. Pancakes were yummy. Thanks! :)

  • The shower situation was completely unacceptable. I paid for access to a shower, however the faucet did not produce water, it produced steam.

  • Not enough restrooms, curfew to go inside in the evening. Small and crowded rooms. Fine beds!

  • The hostel is a former residential house which has been converted into a hostel. The overall feel of the house was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful with directions. However I think the price was a bit high compared to other hostels I've stayed at before. Perhaps because Santa Barbara is not crawling with hostels, but I'm just guessing. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the kitchen facilities were nice. However the living room couch needs replacement, it's hard as a rock to sit on ;)

  • We were charged $300 for 2 beds for 2 nights. The rooms were ao cramped that people were standing on top of each others' luggage to simply move around. There were 3 functioning bathrooms for the whole hostel, which meant there were queues to simply brush your teeth. When I finally got into the shower, it stopped working halfway through and meant I was late to my excursion and lost money. All in all, the worst hostel experience of my travelling life and, at $75 per person per night, v expensive!

  • I felt welcome and like part of the family as soon as I checked in. Holly was wonderful, helpful, professional, and very knowledgable.
