- “ Nice, quiet place to stay just a 15 minute walk from the train station. If you don't need a tram stop just outside the door, this place was fine. Staff was friendly, but down the road and rarely seen. In a residential area, so no traffic noise at night. Perfectly adequate lodging for Kyoto sightseeing. ”

- “ It was my first time in Japan and I stayed 4 nights at Ikoi-no-Ie. I had a wonderful time and can recommend this Hostel without doubts. The smell that some people mention on the website is from the tatami mats and was nice to have, since I live in Shanghai and smell normally only smog. The location is great, close to the main station, to subway and bus stops. And if you are good by feet you can even walk to Gion very easy. The chance that I come back? Very high! Thanks to the Ikoi-no-Ie team. ”

- “ Great Hostel. Easy to hire bikes from them, good breakfast. Was a little tricky to find and I would suggest asking the staff for a step by step direction map on how to get there. ”
