Lovely staying, great having the piano in the common room!! Staff very gentle (except a guy with long dark hair who was pretty arrogant, but maybe he wasn't part of the staff).. oh and amazing waffles!! =) Federica, from Italy ~ 18th Aug 2009

It is what you'd expect for a 63-person mixed dorm. There are a lot of weird smells in the night and it can be noisy. There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets, so during the morning hours it can get very hectic. They have free coffee, tea, and cookies almost all the time which is nice. They were extremely unorganized though, I came home around 11pm one night to find someone's bags on my bed. Awful curfew, 1am on Friday and Saturday, 12am all other nights. One thing they don't tell you is that it's a Christian youth hostel. They have a 12 or 1 am curfew and only one large room with 60 beds staked three high. The washrooms aren't sufficient either. Clean and tidy near the city centre. It was allright to spend one or two nights there but I think the tiny kitchen and the two (!) WCs and two(!) showers would have been a problem if I'd stayed longer.. They had curfue wich was not announced on thier homepage, midnight Sunday through Thursday and 01.00 Friday and Saturday. If you are 20-something, goto bed late/wake-up late, and on a tight budget ... this place is for you. Since I was none of these, the single room with 50+ bunks stacked three high, smokers outside the door all night, and two showers/toilets for everyone kinda made for a rough couple of nights. Staff was great, location was very close to train and downtown ... just be prepared Dylan, from USA ~ 7th Jul 2009
