International Hostel Posada de Huerta in Madrid, Spain

everything is good, very clean, and very new, except it is a little bit noisy both inside and outside the hostel Tanakarn, from Thailand ~ 21st Oct 2009

This place was pretty cool. The worst part was that the free wifi is only available in the downstairs lobby area which isn't too big, also the shower on the second floor was ice cold when I took my showers. But the place was clean and the breakfast was good. Pablo (who is like the event coordinator) was super awesome. He can tell you what to see in the city, and also will take you out to tapas, and flamenco, and pub crawl and free sangria night. Definitely a cool guy. No real common room (there is an area that is part of the computer room and the kitchen) and no wifi past the reception desk area made this place inconvenient, in my opinion. Very diverse clientele, though. And surprisingly, lots of older guests and families. Tara, from USA ~ 19th Oct 2009

a very fun hostel! the walls are all painted bright colors, and overall, it was pretty clean. the location is amazing, on a street that is crazy all night. the people at the front desk were great (especially the little old man) and they offer free breakfast and kitchen access. they also have different activities every night- i heard the pub crawl was cool. i would definitely go back, and i recommend it to everyone. Can't rank this hostel because we were upgraded to another hostel which was probably much superior to the International Youth Hostel. It would definitely have been much quieter and still very central. We appreciated that upgrade very much since we stayed for 7 days. Nick, from New Zealand ~ 22nd Oct 2009
