Great location to the downtown area of Madrid. Guy at the front desk a bit grumpy and could not find my reservation. Not a great first impression. Dairy on the corner to buy food was handy.

Great Location! The only positve thing I can say. Staff was very RUDE (except the nice girl from Slovakia) Be Aware there's a 15Euro deposit and 3% sur-charge if you pay by credit card. (They dont tell you that in the website) A friend got robbed in her room by some guy from the street. She had to beg to use the phone to call back home.

The location is really good, but, being central, in the night can be a little bit noisy (not too much, and then you don't come to Madrid to sleep;-)...The staff is in the average because there is an old man that works in the night that is great (so kind!) but the others are so and so...The common room is not used at all so if you wanna have fun inside the hostel, don't come here...the guest's kithcen is useful and quite comfortable

Shower early or you'll get nothing but freezing water. Overall it was a great stay. Do the pub crawl! Good times.

Everyone at the International Hostel Posada de Huerta is beyond helpful and friendly. Great experience.

If you need your sleep, I would definitely think twice about staying here. The male rooms are sometimes 10 beds a room, so the partiers will wake you up when you are trying to sleep. Also the street (Calle Huertas) is a known hangout for singers and guitar players who play there long into the night. For the experience, i would have prefered to play about 2/3 of what I did.
