  • The stuff at front will check your age first, if you are over 35, you will be kicked out no matter if you have reservation or not, this is totally insane! Never again!

  • It's terrible. During my living there, I lost my charger for my iphone5. And the guy sleeping on the other bed, he lost his ipod and charger. For this trip, I went to many different cities and change many hostels. This is the only one which don't have the lock on the front door. That means everyone can go into the room when nobody in at daytime. I talk to the people who was in charge and they don't care and they just let it go. I was angry. I just want to tell people it's not a safe place.

  • It is probably the cheapest accommodation on Manhattan and for that money it is good, but it is everything else than comfortable. There is no wifi and you have to leave your suitcase downstairs in the office that closes for the night. Considering the steep stairs it is obvious why. It would be very easy to steal something. A lot of people in small rooms, no lockers, small lamps, tables, chairs, hooks - just bunk beds. The bedsheets must be very old. The kitchen and the lounge were OK though.

  • all in all it´s a good hostel. but 40$ per night are way too much. there are only 2 bathrooms for the whole hostel.you really can´t bring any baggage upstairs to your room. instead you get those small bags where you can put in some clothes and that´s it. so you have to get new stuff out of your baggage every day. the kitchen and the lounge are nice and the location is also quite good.

  • only the good location worth the money, except that it was the worst hostel I've ever been. There isn't free wifi, you can't leave your luggage there after check out, the room was really hot and crowded and you can't store your luggage in your room. You have to pay for all the services what you get free in any other hostels. The kitchen and the longue were nice.

  • Pleasant stay though no wifi and above all only one bathroom for 10 people in the morning, that is really not enough!

  • I only spent one night there... Like: located in a charming street, right next to central park, cheaper than the HI Hostel Dislike: you`re not allowed to take your big backpack to the room, only mixed dorms, beds squeak

  • Great hostel! The only down side is that they have no A/C and no wifi. I met a lot of great people there and had a blast. Would recommend this hostel to anyone staying in NYC.

  • The centre didn't really feel welcoming, had to leave luggage in the reception and wasn t allowed to take it up the room. I was unable to stay in my room to rest and had to get out by 11am and not allowed back in until 3pm.
