A bit dodgy a place; interesting value for money and very clean though. Servando, from Spain ~ 7th Sep 2009

such a good place! giuseppe & his wife are really hospitable and lovely. his hostel is good located and the neibourgh streets are really alive and typical. giuseppe has a lot of cheap & good address to give (pasta/pizza for 5 euros; breakfast at caffé sabatino for 3 euros) and is a good adviser. also, he speaks a lot of language!!! conclusion: a cheap place you cannot avoid for your travel in firenze. very close to the train station (2 min walk) and it was clean and had nice clean bathrooms. The owner was a little flighty, didn't seem to have our room ready for a long time, then we had to switch rooms which was annoying. however for the price i would probably stay there again. I booked a room for 6, there was 7 beds in the room, and only 1 combined bathroom/shower for all of us. The guy also did not have all of my change so I ended up paying a little more than I should have. The guy seemed to rarely be around and had a sign on the door that said if he was not there you would have to wait on the street to check in. The beds were not the most comfortable either. Once you got in and used to the beds and rare bathroom times it was okay. Brian, from USA ~ 14th Jun 2009

our room was separate to the hostel and we were on our own and that was nice- apart from building work that commenced at 4:30 am it was very quiet- guiseppe is very friendly- there is a 15 euros deposit for the key but guiseppe explains this and he returned it without having to check the room- he pointed all the sites on the map and good places to eat- would definately come back ANAROSA, from Spain ~ 17th May 2009
