Felt very safe with keycode access and a very large dog "guarding" the entrance. Disappointed that there were not lockers, but we left our non-valuables in the 4-bed dorm for a day and they were left alone. Clean enough for a hostel, i.e. no obvious insect or rodent infestation. For the price and location this is a great hostel. Would stay here again.
