My boyfriend and I booked a double room with our own bathroom over Chinese New Year. We arrived to find that (after we had checked in and paid) that our room had been given away at 6pm. Our booking said that we were due to arrive at 2300. The lady said that they gave it away because they thought we were coming at 11am (however our booking clearly said 2300!!!) we were forced to stay in bunkbeds with bathrooms that were outside. It was basically a long hallway with curtains that separated the bunks. We were so angry (especially since she said NOTHING about our room changing until after check in) that we left at 8am the next morning. They were good about giving us our money back for the second night. The lady was very nice otherwise and gave us some travel advice however maybe she was buttering us up before telling us that she gave our room away. We would NOT stay there again.

the hostel claimed to not have received our reservation from hostelworld so there was no private room left. we were given 2 dorm beds for the same amount we paid for the private room - the reason being it's CNY and it would be hard for us to find another accommodation. we were tired and couldnt not look for another place so we reluctantly accept the dormbeds, which were undone. we settled-in anyways and waited until after 3 pm for fresh sheets and pillows. on the next day, we encountered a lot of of touts around the train station offering more reasonable private rooms for less than what we paid at Ivy. i would recommend the place only if you are desperate. the place is clean, though and they have friendly enough faces.

This one is a bit different, more like a guesthouse on its own away from the streets and traffic.Town is within easy reach. A really nice place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Ivy. Not only its clean, its very welcoming with great furnished room. Nevertheless, the staff can be a bit hypocrite. Having to serve you at their best before but once checking out, we tried to borrow their toilet and she said, is not available. Nevetheles, a gud stay! Great environment!
