It was a super awesome stay!I definitely say it was a really good first experience, and the staff were so helpful. There was also a blackboard with updates on what was happening around the city, and they also had a really good information packets about the sights around Kyoto as well.^__^ Tiffany, from USA ~ 7th Nov 2011

This hostel is very comfortable. It is one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds/futons. The bathrooms were also convenient to the rooms and clean. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I was able to stay in a single private room for very cheap. I've paid more for a capsule, so it was a good deal. The hostel offers 500 yen all-day bus tickets. The buses are the best way to get around Kyoto, so it's really worth it. There's a bus station across the street, so it's the safest way to return at night, although I felt safe in that area. I might have rather stayed north of Kyoto station to be closer to more places. Other than that it was a good hostel and I would stay there again.

Serviceable and in a convenient location (5 min. walk from Kyoto Station). The walls are plastered with photos of your fellow travelers in Japan makes sense thematically, but doesn't exactly make for a homey atmosphere. There are curtains around each bunk for privacy.
