  • Very basic, clean backpackers hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful. A little far from center of town, but they run a shuttle several times a day. Breakfast (toast and cereal) starts at 7:30 AM, which can be a little late if you have tours booked. If you book through JJ's, they will have breakfast ready early.

  • J.J.'s is my favorite hostel in the world.I am TravelinAlan and have stayed in hostels on every continent the last 17 years. None is better than J.J.'s. You will be treated like family and will feel like family. Tracy and Sam will help you with all your travel needs in Cairns. Breakfast is included and you get a dinner voucher, which you can upgrade. Although the walk to the center is about 15 minutes, their shuttle will take you and pick you up day and night.Dorms are big. The price is right.

  • Great hostel! We stayed there for a week and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can get pretty good discounts if you book tours and trips through the hostel. The included breakfast and dinner were a good addition. Definitely go for the vegetarian pasta if you're going to Woodshed's for dinner. Hostel was a bit far from the city centre, but you get a free shuttle every half hour or so, although the walk along the esplanade was really nice. Would stay here again!
