Staying in a converted jail is a scream. The staff calls themselves "wardens." Confortable beds, highly recommended. Nathaniel, from USA ~ 7th May 2009

Nothing more to add to our rating. This hostel rocks - its a bit cold though in the autumn time. So turn up the heater.. Julia, from Germany ~ 5th May 2009

clean hostel, nice staff, but way too far from town. costs $1.80 each time you want to go in or out. one staff person was a real jerk...i came into an empty room and she assigned me a top bunk. i wanted a bottom bunk but she said that they reserve bottom bunks for people who stay longer. well i was staying for 2 nights and i talked to the guys who ended up in the bottom bunks and they were staying for 2 nights as well. so she was basically just being lazy ie didn't want to change the bed in PAUL, from USA ~ 13th Apr 2009

Great Hostel. Very clean, staff is extremely cool and friendly and they have a great cinema room with free dvds to rent. I would recommend this place if you were to stay in CHC bryan, from USA ~ 24th Jan 2009

Brilliant hostel, very clean and everyone is really friendly, very quiet and the kitchen was fab. Only downside was that it was quite far away from anywhere. Helen, from England ~ 23rd Jan 2009

We loved staying here! and we're going to recommend it to everyone when we go back to Canada (and to all our friends in Australia where we're headed next). Good job, guys. Tracie, from Canada ~ 20th Jan 2009

It was great staying here, it was an actual jail, the walls are thick and so are the doors, the beds are comfortable and blankets kept us super warm, but i can say little about the staff, they kept to themselves and I would feel like i would be interrupting them or putting them out if i had a question or request. Kitchen was awesome and very clean, huge cinema room and showers were ok but there are only three or so available so i hope you don't have to wait. Its a bit of a hike to town so i wo Donna, from Australia ~ 15th Jan 2009

Bad description to get to the hostel by food from the train station. From the train station to next described street is it a few 100m without sidewalk and street signs.
