I love this ryokan. Fantastic value for money and truly peaceful in the middle of a very busy Fukuoka. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience in traditional Japanese Ryokan. Operated by warm and friendly old Japanese couple. Will definitely stay here again next time I in Fukuoka.

I was really amazed as soon as I got through the corridor, by the beauty of the ryokan. When my host opened my room's door, I thought she had made a mistake : That was so big, so beautiful. Anyway, if anyone says me he is going to Fukuoka, I will tell him to go to Ryokan Kashima, I guarantee this.

Stayed for a couple of nights and the Japanese style rooms are huge. Located in a nice cosy area near Hakata station and easy access to many, many small Japanese restaurants in the small roads and alleys. Also near the bus stop, subway, etc. plus within walking distance to Tenjin. Very convenient. I'm not sure if they get many foreign guests (there were a lot when I was there) but the staff barely speaks any English which makes conversations hard.

quite nice, helpful staff. room smelt a little bit. internet is meant to only be in the lobby but the signal was strong enough to get it in my room.

An authentic ryokan experience, we'd recommend. Mostly occupied by Japanese tourists and only the odd outsider.
