This was my first trip to Costa Rica and only the second hostel I had stayed at, but I knew from the minute I arrived, this was no average hostel. To my delight, our room had a spectacular view of Arenal volcano, as did all the rooms, by the clever way the hostel has been constructed. The restaurant (with delicious choice of 3 breakfasts included in price) was superb. The service and staff was so friendly and helpful we stayed an extra day as well. Excellent rooms....but a bit far from La Fortuna. When I stayed there, I was about the only person staying at this place. I was surprised since the grounds are attractive and the rooms clean. I suppose the fact that it was 2km away was the reason. Whatever. I enjoyed my stay there!

I really enjoyed my stay at Jardines Arenal! The owner of the Hotel was really nice and helpful, particularly with what tours to do in and around La Fortuna. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with really good food and it's reasonably priced. The location of the hotel is brilliant, we could see the volcano from our room and it's only a two minute drive from La Fortuna town. I would definitely recommended Jardines Arenal as a place to stay in La Fortuna, I had a really good experience here.

The staff were VERY friendly, helpful, and personal. On arrival, an orientation to facilities and services were provided. Very helpful in arranging tours and calling taxis. A substantial breakfast was provided. A quality facility!
