Friendly staff! excellent location one block from the subway. Lots of restaurants and bars close by, BBQs at the hostel. air conditioned rooms are awesome. We would definitely stay again

Jazz on th City is an excellent hostel - the staff are extremely friendly and the location is fantastic - easy to get just about anywhere in NYC from here. Cleaning staff are great and air conditioners are a wonderful addition to the rooms. Heaps of great roof parties - we really enjoyed our stay

Got biten by bed bugs but when i told the front staff they just shook there head like they didn't believe me! great place just they def have bed bugs and that is not worth anything let alone an apologie

The hostel was out of the way...except for being close to a subway station and central park...and the Seinfeld Diner! It took half an hour to get my key due to techincal truobles and there is no lift to get to the fifth floor...very cramped in the foyer on a 32 degree day!!! Rooms were adequet, but for the price, i expected at least a towel in my room...not a pillow case as a drying implement!

i was looking for a party hostel and it was not that fun of an atmospher but it was good ther were always frinedly people to hang out with
Had a blast, great staff, friendly people. great location (right near a subway). A/C was great... hot hot summer days. Would definately stay here again!!
i paid $5 for a lock to put on my locker and it turned out that my key was actually able to open Other locks! -___- so bring your own! aside from that it was really great~ (:

Convenient location close to subways in a good neighbourhood. Rooms are good value for money given New York standards and the rooftop terrace is an added bonus.
