There was a problem with mice and not enough bathrooms if the dorms are full (only one per room) but otherwise a good stay in a good area. Vanessa, from Australia ~ 20th Nov 2009

It's not the Ritz. It's a hostel. And as a hostel, I couldn't recommend any other in NYC than this one. It's the best there. I've stayed at quite a few of them there. None are as conveniently located or as well run as this one. My favorite thing is when I come back from my day of running around and find my bed has been made. I always meet cool people here too. The mix room was not bad at all. people were nice. Location is really good: subway, stores, bars... I liked this place and the price. The hall is small: there are only 2 sofas (coaches). There is one frige for everybody and a microwave. There are 2 computers. If u want to use it, u should pay some money...The wireless is free. ))) it's good. I could use my laptop. The staff were not friendly at all, the first thing they asked for was money and then explaining the things for which I am going to be fined.
