Very nice place. The only con is the fact it could have lockers in the room. The good part is that is cozy, in a walking distance from downtown, what can take you anywhere. The best part is the Staff: Leah is very nice and helpful, knew about anything that I needed (even places to print posters, what I take is not a regular travelers's tour...). Joie de Vivre guest house is a great place to stay in Houston. It's a small hostel(max. 4 guests) in a safe residential area downtown. It's close to the theatre district and other attractions downtown. The staff is great and very caring. They will help you with anything. The only downside is that the beds aren't really comfortable.

I really like this place, Leah and Danny are friendly and help full people. The hostel is a great place to stay, if you are high maintenance then this place won't be for you. Staying there was like sleeping over at a friends place, I felt comfortable there and everyone was friendly and laid back.
