The hostel was very difficult to find and was kind of far from the centre of town, but was a lovely building and the dorms were big and clean. The staff was also really friendly (they even went out and got me a veggie breakfast when there were none left)and the hostel was quite atmospheric. It was nice and quiet and the other guests were lovely. It is a good place to stay if you are looking for a place to base exploring Sophia from, but not really a party hostel.
We loved our stay at Kervan Hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to store our bags and use the internet the next day. The only issue I had was that it was hard to find the hostel from the directions online. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay there again!

For us (4 students) was this accomodation fantastic! Very clean bathroom, nice and helpfull personnel. When I will go to the Sofia again, I know where to go... Miro, Slovakia
Me and my partner had a very good stay in Kervan hostel, it was perfectly clean, located very near to the centre but it is very calm area and the staff were very nice to us, they helped us and inform us about what we needed to know and didint find in guide. Sop, we had a nice time there and we'll come back if travelling to Sofia. Thank you!:o)

small hostel only 3 dorm rooms, but nice enough people and a decen brekkie consiering its a hostel and its free. location is ok just down an unattractive street and we arrived a night so not so inviting. as hostels go it was small and i am used to bigger hostels. i would probably stay there again apparently the art hostel has hard beds and no brekkie.!

We only stayed one very short night, but we liked it quite well. We had been to Sofia before so we knew we liked the city, and we knew the location was nice and central. Since we got in late and left early, we didn't have any trouble with the bathroom, but I can see how it might be tough having just one toilet and one shower for the whole place.
the hostel was very nice. the staff are also very helpful in giving directions around town and suggestions about food and such. I would definitely recommend this hostel. It is quiet and very clean as well. The only downside is that there is only one shower/toilet combination to serve 15-16 people. Can be a bit tough to use in the early morning.
