What do you expect about hostels in Kathmandu? Dirty beds, unfriendly staffs, and cold shower? If you do, staying in Khangsar guest house will change your opinion. Very neat rooms, 24-hours including hot shower, good staffs, free wifi, free info, and so on! I can't believe i couldstayed this kind of hostel in this price. Just book this hostel and find the picket of the hostel in front of the international airport arrival port, and a taxi will bring you to the hostel for free! If you are looking for a hostel in Thamel, it might not be able to find better hostel than Khangsar guest house. Perfect location(on the heart of Thamel), reasonable price, free pick up service from international airport, free wifi, hot shower, and for the most, very friendly staffs. Especially, the host of the guest house, Mr. Rajendra, is a great guy, if ou want anything, such as trekking information, flight tickets, or restaurants, he will give you perfect answers. I have to say this is the best guest house I found in Thamel after several hours searching in this area. I think I would put it in the top rank not only because it's clean, safe, 24hrs electricity, good location, kind staffs but also there's a very nice boss who is enthusiastic about helping to answer any question travelers have and give his hand when I face the problem. When I stayed at Khangsar, I was here to study, so its location on the edge of Thamel, the tourist district, wasnt ideal which is why I only stayed a week. The week I was there was quiet as the place was being re-decorated, but I really enjoyed talking to Naz and his staff, very friendly, extremely helpful, and if you looking for a low cost, simple room with a kitchen and security doors at night, this is the place.
