- “ Der er et stort, rart faellesrum, hvor man let falder i snak med andre rejsende. Eneste minus var, at 10 personer vaerelset var lidt smaat til saa mange mennesker. ”

- “ The staff are friendly and very helpful throughout my stay especially when they can converse in English. Will definitely recommend this to my friends. ”

- “ This was a great hostel to stay in! The atmosphere was warm, the bedrooms were reasonable, and the staff was very friendly and generous. The only issue was that the curtains on some of the beds were not completely attached, so light came in throughout the night as people came into and left the room. ”

- “ Super clean, comfortable and roomy bunkbed (high ceiling) with curtain for extra privacy. The hostel organises little language exchange groups etc which are interesting for meeting others in the hostel and from Kyoto. Brilliant value for money, I wasn't expecting a laundry room which was a plus, kitchen fully equipped for cooking although I didn't use it. This is the perfect location in Kyoto, jsut beside the little bar/cafe canal district, a crazy shopping mall, and across the bridge from Gion. ”

- “ Hostel was run by very smart people! They had all the proper visitor information like bus routes, maps, and nearby dining. They have tons of signage and information at every turn in the building in different languages so there is no confusing about where showers are and how to use the toilet. I am definitely staying here next time I'm in Kyoto! The staff and guests were really cool. ”

- “ There is a really nice common area to meet lots of cool people, it is a very social hostel. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Really good location close to some major attractions and to public transport. Loved staying here. ”

- “ Excellent hostel. There is a common room with a full kitchen, table, and TV/lounge area. Every week the hostel offers a free city tour from local university students. While we were there, they also hosted a free session to learn origami. Very clean facilities. ”

- “ The hostel is super central and very clean, the staff very friendly (everyone speaks english fluently). The twin bedroom is tiny but you don't come to Kyoto to stay the whole day in there, are you? The only negative points I can think of: Our room had an odd smell, kind of smelly feet at the beginning, so a bit of airing would have been good. And: The walls are extremely thin. You can hear your neighbours whisper. ”

- “ we stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the great location and the stafff that were very helpful and kind. the atmosphere is great. the only thing that made feel like i will not go back is that the room was so small and damp, and the smell was bad probably because of the dampness. also the bathroom wasnt always clean and the bed wasnt comfortable. other then those things it is a very nice hostel. ”

- “ Very good hostel which gives very good opportunities for both meting locals and other travelers. It has a common area with a kitchen and a living-room where many people meet. The central position of the hostel makes it ideal for sightseeing all of Kyoto as almost all bus lines go through this area. ”

- “ One of the best hostels I've stayed in and I've been around the world. Very clean. Nice location although a bit far from subway. But it is close to bus stops. Very close to the busy main street and markets. Free computers for people to use. Lots of fridge for storage and cooking wears and utensils. Good price. The mattress wasn't that comfortable though. Free locker storage and lock. ”

- “ A superb hostel. Excellent location right in the center of town and near several convenient bus stops, as well as within walking distance of the Gion district and other sights. Wondeful common area and kitchen...one of the best. I also loved the posters hanging around the hostel informing visitors of various events and festivals happening around town that week. We had some incredible experiences in Kyoto that we would not have otherwise had, had those signs not been there to tell us about them. ”

- “ The hostel is definitely a nice place to stay in Kyoto. It is easy to find and near to the bus stop. It is clean and decorated with character, including the stairway. The kitchen and common room are big and comfortable. And there are enough toilets and shower rooms so you do not need to wait for a long time during rush hour. ”

- “ Really convenient, clean, safe place to stay. Had a very large, comfortable common area. Also had some deal with a local university so we got a free guided walking tour of Gion/Higashiyama! My first hostel experience and it was great! ”
