ONLY PRACTICAL IF YOU HAVE A CAR. The hostel was well kept, maintained by excellent, friendly staff, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Unfortunately, as it notes on the site, it's 3m/6km outside of town. The bus mentioned isn't a city bus that runs frequently, it's a Bus Eireann coach that operates about four times per day (first at 8:50, last at 3:35). The route is certainly bikeable or walkable, but the road isn't well lit, making it not the ideal stretch during the late hours, or after

In the middle of nowhere. You have to drive by taxi or take a walk for about 45minutes to Killarney. The only thing i found quite ok was the security.

The shared shower was not clean at all. I didn't expect much but it was below my already lowered standards. The shower head was directly across from the sink which was very odd. However, the room was clean and there were clean sheets given to us at check in. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. They helped with directions and any questions we had with a smile on their face. I would recommend this hostel if you get a private room and a private shower!
