I just been there this new year vacation. Place and people is nice but the location quite far from subway station and bus stop. It's take about 10 mins walk. That's not sound bad but imagine if you comeback from shopping and the day you have go to bus stop with your luggage. Another thing that I quite disappointed with the owner, yes he not that bad but sometime he just unhelpful and cold. Like on the last day of my stay when I want to go to bus stop for airport bus I have a big luggage and another bag that is imppossible for me to bring them and walk to bus station. I tried to find taxi but there's no any taxi come so I call Mr.Kim in order to ask if there is any taxi call service or if he can give any help? Thet what he told me was "I don't think any taxi will pick you to the bus stop because it's very near from here, but if you really want to catch a taxi you must walk out a bit to main road or you can walk to the bus stop" I just told him that I can not walk to bus stop -*- and he told me to walk there. Onece more There also said on information that they have pick up service from bus stop to guest house when arrive but when I arrived Mrs.Kim told me to get in taxi and I also paid by myself.

A nice enough place, but in sort of a bad location, and very cramped, with little space for relaxation. The only common room had all of one couch, with a television that was constantly on, making anything but TV watching impossible. However, the owner provided a phone she could be called on at any time, and the staff was very helpful whenever they were around. Overall not bad, but not great either.

Sun, the proprietor is a very nice and helpful lady, but she does not allow alcohol in her guest house. So if you are looking to drink in the hostel pick another one.

DON'T GO THERE. The Lonely Planet describes it as great fun but when the owners come in all the time telling you to talk quietly (at 9pm, not in the early hours of the morning) it's a bit sickening. There's signs up everywhere saying "No noise, No party, No alcohol". There's better places in Seoul and luckily I found them...

Kim's Guesthouse is a wonderful place to meet friends and others. However, I am a bit of a stickler for bathrooms and the bathrooms weren't as clean as I would have hoped (some shower gunk on the shower screen and other places but even with that I still loved the place. I loved it because I was able to meet so many nice people there plus Mrs. Kim is great. She called and helped book tickets for a show called B-Boy Korea and it was amazing. First row seats and the performance was awesome. Also, the location is close to Hongik University which has a lot of awesome bars and clubs so if you want to go clubbing Kims Guesthouse is the place to be. A bit far from other sightseeing places though but the train systems are nicely efficient and easy to navigate.

I booked one week in advance however when I got there there was no bed for me so I slept in her house in her son's room on the floor. She was very kind, but I think she is a little disorganized. It was fun to stay with her family but I was cold cause I didn't have a blanket and she didn't turn on the ondol heating. I won't stay there again for that reason. She is a nice lady, but I need more than nice.

Would have been nice to have some lockers or something but overall it was a very nice little place. Near the tube and a lot of cheap but good restraunts/shops etc. good airport access to shuttle bus. staff were lovely and it was very close to the uni district where a lot of the night life happens. would stay there again,.

Excellent staff, very helpful and can speak smooth English. The guest house has family feel. The map should be uploaded to hostelworld website for travelers who visit Korea at the first time. I will recommend my Hong Kong friends about the house
