I thought this place would be a hostel, but it's actually a hotel. It was nice though, but I didn't like the location because it was too busy. Matthew, from USA ~ 21st May 2012

The internet works really slow here.Food in the Roof Top/Sky Bar is not very good.As far as the location, it is GREAT!The rooms were VERY clean and was the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in.Staff was freindly in setting up tours and cabs. This is a Smoking Hostel, which sucks. Christina, from USA ~ 17th May 2012

Centrally located, helpful staff, what more can you ask for! The bar has a gorgeous view of Beijing. My favorite place to stay when visiting China. Jason, from USA ~ 29th Mar 2012

In general it was good to stay in king's joy, but the staff was really unhelpful. Since they offer a lot of organized trips, they never wanted to give us information on buses, transportations means or entrance prices for anything. Anyway, we did it all on our own (trip to great wall, touristic visits and so on), and it was much cheaper than what the hostel offered! They didn't even want to call us a cab to go to the airport...And some of them didn't speak english enough to understand us. Maria Luisa, from Portugal ~ 31st Jan 2012

The problem that I and my friends had is that they do not allow Chinese to stay in the same room with foreigners, so we had to book one night in a very expensive room and then ended up having to go to a different hostel so that we could all stay together. I think this is something they should say on their website or somewhere on hostels.com so that people know that before they book there, and they know to expect that. Also the staff at the desk was not that friendly. Mandi, from USA ~ 18th Mar 2012

Very value-for-money accommodation. Dont even think of spending your nights in Beijing in a hotel because King's Joy provide you with hotel-standards service, in terms of room-services and quality of stay. I strongly recommend this hostel to anyone who is intending to visit beijing. Street markets and tourists attractions are really convenient accessible, by foot and and subway. Great job, King's Joy. One word, EXCELLENT! Angela, from Singapore ~ 5th Jan 2012

More hotel than hostel with great location and very helpful, English speaking staff. Very comfortable room. Cathy is a jewel, she can arrange anything: travel, entertainment, tours. Do not order the hamburger in the restaurant it was awful. Also, they told me it was 200 rmb to tax to Capitol airport with an additional 30 for pickup and 3 to make the call. Outside the hotel I waited 2 mintues to get a taxi and it cost 100 rmb plus 10 for the toll. Michael, from USA ~ 30th Nov 2011
