“ Good help with organising train tickets and Great Wall tours + location is great, just a few minutes walk to Tiananmen Square. The bar in the top floor makes it more hostel-like, other than that it's a clean and good value for money hotel. ”

“ The King's Joy was great! Easy to find, it's a big building with large signage you can see from a distance (just down the street from Tianamen Square and The Forbidden City), staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel bar was good, yet the steak on the menu was very thin and not particularly tasty. Other than that though it was grand! ”

“ This is actually a hotel, but very nice, especially for the money you pay. First, we were in the room on the third floor, but our toilet got clogged so we changed room and got the first floor which was a lot better, but still had some cons like leaking shower. Besides that everything was OK. ”

“ This is the best hostel I've stayed at in Beijing so far, and I go up to the city quite a bit. The hostel is centrally located near Qianmen and Beijing South train station, and the room is clean and comfortable. The only disadvantage, if you can call it that, is that it takes about 10 minutes to walk from Qianmen metro station to the hostel. ”

“ Huge hostel with spacious and clean dorms. Great location right next to Tiananmen Square and the restaurants on the same street are amazing! The rooftop bar is cheap but the guy that runs it could be a bit more friendly. And perhaps the address of the hostel in Chinese characters could be put on the website to make it easier to get there! But besides that, a nice hostel and I would stay here again. ”

“ Below average... I paid 20 yuan less for staying at a hostel close by which had much more atmosphere. This "hostel" felt like a hotel with long corridors and with only some rooms converted into hostel rooms by adding more beds. And it was not more clean than the hostels around, maybe a little bit worse. Roof top bar was nice though, but would only stay here again if it was the cheapest option.. Then again, maybe not. ”

“ The location was FANTASTIC - I couldn't have found a more centrally-located hostel. However, the rooms were just fair. The bathrooms were absolutely gross, and I didn't even have toilet paper for a while. The staff was not very enthusiastic about helping. ”

“ I had a chance to spend 3 days in Beijing and was happy to stay at King's Joy! The location is awesome as you are right next to a major subway station and close to major attractions. I spent $70USD for three nights in a room with my own bathroom and that's really hard to beat. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner when I got there, but it wasn't horribly dirty either. I will definitely stay here if I return to Beijing. ”
