King Tut was great! They set us up with a great guide and really picked us up and took us to the train and bus statition multiple times. If you're going to Cairo STAY HERE!!
My first stop in hostels in Egypt, very good location, right near the train station, egyptian musuem and easy access to metro and buses, rooms are great with clean bathrooms.the price of the room compare to the value is very reasonable.they organized itinerary for most of the places that we have dreamt to see in a very short time .In the commen room easy to meet some great pple.
The hostel was really fun to stay at. The staff were great and there was even a free pick up from airport and free post cards to write to your family and friends, and the people staying there were fun to talk to. Everything was clean and the location in downtown it easy to get to while traveling around.

the only thing i could remember about this hotel are the sheets and pillow covers... extremely dirty... like never washed in 10 years :(

This is in dowtown. You're on the eighth floor of a building in the middle of Cairo. The Metro is in walking distance and there is a nearby movie theater. However, one of the best services is that Atef (the owner) will help set up guided tours with you for a real good price. You get your own driver and an English-speaking guide to all the sites. It really is cheap and fun and there is a night market on the sidewalks right outside the building every night. Go for it.
I had the best time at the King Tut Hostel. The staff did every thing possible to make my stay in Egypt wonderful. I had absolutely nothing booked before I got to the hostel, and Atef (the owner) sat down with me and planned out my entire trip. They gave me numerous rides to the airport and they were always on time. The guides were very knowledgable and spoke great English. If you are going to Cairo and you are not staying at the King Tut, I would reccomend canceling your plans and staying with them.

Great location, clean room ,friendly and helpful staff. They help to organize tour so that we can get most of it in our short stay in cairo. Tour depart on time, very puncture. No problem on late arrival .highly recommended
