This is a basic hostel but good value for money. our room was very spacious, included heater, kettle n complimentry tea and coffee. we had some food stolen from the fridge but the staff were brilliant and replaced the lost items for us. no complaints.

Absolutely disgusting. dirty and very smelly. Old fashioned...the worst hostel I have been to since arriving in Australia 5 weeks ago. I checked in and checked straight out losing a nights money.

This was a terrible place. We booked online, and were told one month later that the room we booked was no longer available. It was around WOMAD festival time, and therefore we had to accept the change as it was too late to find anything else. The room was a dungeon - no windows, no air conditioning (40 degrees!), no light. Though we booked a room with a bathroom and ended up in this dungoen (no bathroom), they then tried to charge us the same price ($110 per night!), and even called us the next day saying they had undercharged us and asking for more money! This was a terrible place on the dodgy end of the dodgy street. I would strongly advise against staying there.

Location is good, cause it's close to the centre. but it is very loud if your room faces the street.....

I didn feel really safe in this place! It wa not like a backpackers, it was more like a placefor people without enough money to rent their own place!

Nice and clean hostel along the free city bus route. We got a room which had a small kitchen, own bathroom and TV in it so the place felt more like a budget hotel. Breakfast was not included (though it was mentioned in some of the adds).

This did not feel like a hostel atall and we did not feel safe. There was only a couple of backpackers there, the other people were either drunks or homeless. I was glad we only stayed there for a week. Our room was above a kebab shop and stunk, with no air con so it was sooo hot.

Our room was above/near a takeaway so there were smoky food smells in the evenings, but the staff were very nice and its not too far from the pedestrianised areas in town
