Couldn't get my head around the rules of renting out the kitchen equipment. Was a real pain. Staff were great. Free bus pick-up & drop-off.

on arrival were given a room key, booked a double room, which was located in what can only be described as rape ally. we returned to reception as one key wouldn\'t work, went into a further 4 rooms which people were already sleeping in! this show an incredible lack of security as they are dishing out the keys to already occupied rooms, or that the rooms are easy to access without a key. the rooms we were taken to were completely disgusting, ancient, stained bed covers

Very dirty bathrooms, very rundown, TV was older then me and didn't work, had to change rooms because the door was broken, no common room, pay 1 Dollar for blankets, small and dirty kitchen, not worth 28 Dollars maybe 18.

the kitchen is absolutly digusting, but it is a good atmosphere is in the best location , drink at beaches but u can drink goon also u can work for acomodation

the rooms are quite nice and its in a really good location but staff forgot to pick us up from the greyhound stop so another hostel ended up taking us. when we did get to the koalas they had no recollection of our booking, claimed not to be connected to the internet even though they have an internet lounge for backpackers. staff were unhelpful in trying to find our booking even though we had our reference number and instead tried to book us in again and not take into account the deposit we\'d already paid. you should also know that if you\'re planning to store your luggage for any reason its $3 per day.

Hi, Koala Beach Resort Airlie Beach is a lovely place to stay. Friendly and helpfull staff, great location, you can rest out or party on without anyone bothering you. Love the place. pete sleeman

When we arrived our booking was not there. we were then moved into a room the air con didnt work properly the lock on the door was dodgy and the toilet was completly blocked took them 6 hours to come and un block it. terrible smell of damp in the room also

The staff were terrible!! They would not except my booking number and I had to print out the hostelworld booking email to prove my booking. This is something I did not have to do in any other hostel in Australia or New Zealand! Was really unimpressed.

Dirty rooms when I was tere in need of refurb, some rooms air conditioning was bust, some staff were very moody and unwilling to open store room until very rigid hours. Though good hostel for meeting people as eveyone sits outside and has few beers, Morrocco's bar attached is good fun + very close to everything

The staff were rude and quite unhelpful. The place looked clean on first look but the floors were absolutely filthy. Shower leaked and flooded whole bathroom and into lounge area every time you used it, air con made horrendous noise and spat water everywhere - told reception twice but nothing done.
