Kookaburra Inn in Brisbane, Australia

We stayed in a double private room which, unfortunately, happend to be right across the hall from the bathroom. Though the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hostel was not what we had pictured. It was fairly clean inside of the room, but I reluctantly took my shoes off in the bathroom. It was easy to find, but was a further of a walk to the downtown area than we expected. Overall okay for two nights, but I probably wouldn't stay here again Megan, from USA ~ 25th Jun 2009

We had a really great stay at kookaburras. It's not a party hostel but if you want to meet a nice crowd at a more relaxed place it's great! The owners have two big dogs which are really friendly too!! Alexander, from England ~ 23rd Jun 2009

The staff here were very nice and helpful throughout our stay. The　room itself was nice and simple. The refrigerator was a nice touch. We would stay here again. Great location really near the city centre. All good except the carpet in our room smelt a bit and the kitchen facilities wernt that great and there were only 2 showers for the whole - but good value for money overall! Angela, from England ~ 21st Feb 2009
