I was afraight, it was really very dirty!! We`ve got the doubleroom with a small kitchen, but there wasn`nt cleened up since more than a few years I bet and in the bedroom the cleanless was made in only 7 minutes! For the bathroom I buyed at first a desinfectionspray. Have a look for other rooms in this very nice town, there are enough clean rooms with more comfort for the same price. Beleave me and enjoy this town. Erika, from Germany ~ 15th Sep 2009

aprox. 25 min walk to towncenter and to the places where u can swim; no space to rest outside of the room ( no terasse, no community room or something like that); over priced (like everything else in Dubrovnik) especially because you get a really bad exchange rate between kunar and euro, if u pay in euro, u need it pretty precise. Nuria, from Spain ~ 2nd Aug 2009

Place was nice, but difficult to find. The sign to the house only shows name of place with tiny letters, and "Rooms" with big ones, a text that you otherwise see everywhere. Very easy to miss. Also, no one answered the phone... Otherwise, no complaints, rooms excellent in ratio to price. Elmo, from Finland ~ 13th Jul 2009

A bit confusing when we first arrived as to which door to go to and who to speak to.Bring cash to pay. We stayed in the double room which is part of her actual house. Our room didn't have a lock as the key was broken but we and our stuff still felt safe regardless. Good balcony for lazy days. Gruz is a nice alternative to staying in old town which was a 20 minute walk away. Very cheap. Katerina let us use her kitchen too. She is lovely. Would definately recommend this. a bit out of the way from the Old Town, but definitely walkable (20 minutes?). Very clean and the woman who lives in the house is very nice and made us coffee in the morning. There was no key to the house or room, but it seemed safe anyway. I would stay there again. Amy, from USA ~ 21st Jul 2009

Not a hostel. It,s the downstairs of a ladys house. Very clean and nice and quiet, very comfy beds and great base to explore Dubrovnik. Close to major bus stop and supermarket. Recommend highly. Jason, from Australia ~ 8th Jun 2009

Very welcoming family. Location out of the old town but close to ferry and bus terminals which was a good thing. Walk to old town was only 15 mins with plenty to see on the way. The family were very helpful and offered heaps of information on the town as well as some of their very own home made Croatian wine - awesome. Ben, from Australia ~ 19th May 2009
