The only big issue we had with this place was finding it. We completly missed it and walked several blocks away. It literally is on the next block over from the Kyoto station. We loved the futon beds and size of the room. We are tall people and the bathroom was tiny but we managed. The staff spoke limited english but were very friendly. They were able to answer our questions and arrange a luggage delivery service. Overall this place was great.

This place was very nice and extremely close to the station. For the price, you can`t beat it. Some of the other reviews were just plain b.s. I was skeptical at first to stay here, but it worked out great. Ask the people at the Kyoto Tourist Info. Center for directions to the White hotel.

conveniently situated close to Kyoto train station - <5min walk. Clean room but tiny bathroom. I surprisingly slept very well on the tatami. coin tv! you pay for what you get.
I spent 3 days at this hotel together with my wife. The location near the railway station is perfect. The room was for two people japanese style and was clean as far as we could judge. We had a bathroom that was fully OK. We will probably stay at this hotel next time we are in Kyoto.

on demand videos were a big bonus
I was only at White Hotel for one night but it was really convenient and comfortable. It's very close to the train station so perfect for getting around. The facilities seemed very good although I didn't really have chance to use them. Ensuite bathroom was a nice bonus after a week of sharing! There are more charming places to stay in Kyoto but White Hotel was more convenient than most. I'd go there again.
