La Cruz del Sur in Barletta, Uruguay

A nice hostel right next to the main street of the village, close to the main beaches and the bus station. Breakfast is very ok, and the staff very helpful with bus schedules, booking hostels in the next destinations etc. Only one shower/toilet in the hostel, which inevitably causes queues at times. Lots of mosquitos and not a single mosquito net at least in the 8-person dorm I was sleeping in. The dorm was also very hot due to not being able to keep the door/window open because of the mosquitos Heini, from Finland ~ 19th Mar 2012
