This was a very good place and not too far from the center. A little bit noisy with the road at night but you get use to it! The staff were very nice and friendly and also very helpful!
Would definitely stay here again if i had to come back to Mendoza!

Nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Location a little far away from hub of city and not at the good end of Ave San Martin. Inital double room with shared bathroom had no air conditioning and was very warm at night. The bathroom was right outside the room which was convenient. Second Double room ensuite is more expensive per night,yet ensuite not in room but at end of corridoor...defeats purpose of ensuite. Room was much nicer with air conditioning. The common room areas were often very noisy and difficult to hear TV and have quiet time. But overall i would stay here again due to staff friendliness.

Nice Hostel. A little away from the main area to hang out, but not too far. Staff is nice and helpful, and the shower has hot water all the time. Tours are nice booked through the hostel.

After a string of dreadful hostels in southern Argentina, Lagares was absolute paradise. It's self-description is accurate and it does live up to the rave reviews from other backpackers. Good comfortable beds, large lockers to fit backpacks with key provided, great communal spaces, plenty of private bathrooms, fully-equipped, spacious kitchen, 24-hour security and service with staff that will help you with any need. It is a bit of a hike from the bus station, but as in other places, transportation is cheap enough. Fabulous!

We loved staying at Legares. The staff is fantastic. We're an old retired couple--not like the young folks they usually host, but they did everything to make us feel welcome.
