I was happy with this hostel and the staff is very nice.
excellent place to stay would highly recommend but its a bit far from the centre if you plan to walk otherwise spot on plus there's also free wi fi

stay here if you like the smell of boiled cabbage!! nice rooms and staff but the lack of a door on the kitchen made the lounge stink. and some weird people staying there! too wierd to stay in a yha. ha ha

Nice place with friendly staff. Its in Parnell, which is a bit out of town, but if you are after a bit of quiet in a very nice area, its just for you. Id stay there again. PS If you get the bus into town, just double check with either the hostel or a local which side of the road you have to catch it from, as it can be an uneccesary long ride if you get on at the wrong side, as I found out!

The Hostel is actually made up of some flats in a apartment building, but its quite clean and the owners are friendly, though the lounge is very small. I heard from many travellers that it is one of the best hostels in the city. Also the location is excellent, directly near a subway station, a bus stop and a tram stop.

It is a little way out the city about a 20min walk or a 5 min bus ride. Witch I liked. Simple clean and a real great bunch of people

The location is good, the owner and staff very helpful, the rooms are clean, and the free internet is terrific. However, the common areas are small (kitchen is small, lounge crowded, and dining area is tiny), the showers are poor (flow and temperature drop dramatically if more than one shower is in operation in the hostel), and there's no real atmosphere. A larger common area would improve things. If it's a simple, clean hostel you're after for a night or two, I'd recommend it.

Nice clean quiet hostel. Perfect place for chilling out and very clean. Not a place to party though, but with 20 beds you would expect that.

We didn\'t actually stay at the lodge, when we arrived there had been an error with the booking so the landlady transferred us to her nice bed and breakfast!
