Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at for the price. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming treating us to coffee and tea the instant we arrived, sitting us down and showing us a map and talking about the city etc. Also, impeccable location literally steps from a convenient metro and finally very affordable, large, very clean private room. Lavender Circus is a hostel with its own character, I felt at home with my own bed in a room that was almost too big (in a good way)! Judit was very helpful and gave me information when I asked, and even once called Adam to see if he was going out that night where I was looking to go! Could be a little lonely if you're traveling in Budapest for the first time alone. It's a low-key place, good if you're looking for a bit of privacy as I often came and went without seeing anyone.
